Under perfect sunny skies, more than 200 guests attended Obermark's traditional summer party on 16 July 2023. In the garden of the Obermark GmbH site in Kronberg, near Frankfurt, visitors enjoyed a summer BBQ, coffee and cakes, as well as excellent wines from the Château Moyau winery in Saint-Pierre-la-Mer, France. The owners, Christa and Oliver Porr, did not miss the opportunity to personally pour the wines for Obermark's guests. The roots of the Moyau winery – the name is borrowed from the Occitan word matuya, meaning 'fertile land' – date back to at least 1792.

The younger guests were particularly enthusiastic about the FutureSpace, a project for future-oriented education based in Kassel. It was launched by entrepreneur Lukasz Gadowski, with his former teacher for physics and education pioneer Klaus-Peter Haupt. In addition to his professional career as a teacher, Klaus-Peter Haupt was the MINT representative of the Hessian state government and ambassador for 'Jugend forscht' for many years.

The FutureSpace team travelled to Kronberg by the so-called MINT van, which served as a mobile laboratory for various science experiments at Obermark's summer party. Lukasz Gadowski develops new learning concepts with FutureSpace and passes them on to students and teachers alike. The founder of companies such as Delivery Hero and Spreadshirt is investing in various future technologies, such as air taxis and new battery concepts for electric mobility. He was also a guest speaker at this year's Obermark Entrepreneurs Conference, which took place in Jochberg, Austria, from 18–21 May 2023.

Dr Peter Sewing and Hagen Schulte from Obermark would like to express their sincere thanks to the many participants for taking the time to visit the Obermark Summer Party and enriching the event with their presence and many good conversations. Likewise, a heartfelt thank-you goes out to everyone who donated to FutureSpace.

The FutureSpace team will use the donation of EUR 6,200 to purchase professional sets of photometers. Children and teenager can use it to carry out exciting experiments, for example to determine the concentration of nitrate in water or calcium in milk.
